Quarterback Brock Purdy put the ball in the air 35 times. 24 of his targets went to Aiyuk and Kittle. Four went to Jennings, three went to Deebo Samuel, and one went to Jordan Mason. Of Purdy’s 19 completions, 16 went to Aiyuk and Kittle. That’s not a recipe for success. The 49ers have to be better about spreading the ball around and finding ways to get the ball into their playmakers’ hands.
