The Seattle Seahawks play host to the San Francisco 49ers to kick off Week 6 of the NFL season on Thursday Night Football.
Below, I’ll expand on these teams further, including a preview of their recent performance, odds, and my prediction. I’ll also cover the odds and where this game takes place.
Let’s dive in.

Seattle Seahawks to cover the spread – 1.86 @ bet365
San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks preview
The Seahawks are 3-2 heading into this game, coming off two straight losses.
They host the 49ers, who are 2-3, going 1-3 in their last four games, with their only win coming against the lowly New England Patriots.
The Seahawks lead the NFC West. A 49ers win would put them into first place.

San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks prediction
The Seahawks and 49ers are dealing with numerous injuries in this game.
49ers tight end George Kittle was limited in practice to start the week, cornerback Charvarius Ward hasn’t practiced (at the time of this prediction), and the team also had to sign a new kicker, Matthew Wright, with Jake Moody out with a high ankle sprain.
Wright hasn’t played since he attempted one field goal last season with the Carolina Panthers and missed it. He’s made 40 of 47 field goals in his career, with a long of 59 yards.
For the Seahawks, cornerback Riq Woolen is questionable, while pass rusher Uchenna Nwosu will be placed on injured reserve for a thigh injury.
The Seahawks and 49ers allow similar passing yards, rushing yards, and points per game.
San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks betting tips
Given that this is a game on a short week and notable injuries on both sides, I’ll side with the home underdog, the Seahawks, at +3.5.
I expect the running games to be prominent here. Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III was hardly used in Week 5, with five carries. In the other two games he’s played this season, though, Walker III had 32 carries for 183 yards and four touchdowns.
The Seahawks have an excellent left tackle, Charles Cross, and I think he’ll match up well enough against 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa.
Look for the Seahawks to cover and potentially win the game outright at home.
