Deommodore Lenoir is finding his game at just the right time.
The San Francisco 49ers cornerback posted an interception for the second consecutive week when eh picked off a pass during the 49ers’ 30-24 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. The former Oregon Ducks’ star made a leaping, acrobatic snag of a pass from Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott.
Lenoir’s interception was at the Cowboys’ 32 and lead to a San Francisco touchdown that pushed their lead to 20-10 in the third quarter.
“It took a lot for us just to finish … That’s where we needed to be better at,” Lenoir told Lindsey Palleres, reporter for the 49ers. “We all got together in the fourth preaching ‘We need to finish.’ We were going to win this on defense.”
Lenoir’s interception was his second of the season. He intercepted a pass during the 49ers’ 28-18 Week 7 loss to Kansas City. He is well on his way toward eclipsing his career-high of three interceptions that he had in 2023.
