New San Francisco map that is set in the 1960s
Two new characters and vehicles inspired by the era
Rematch feature added to play with the same players again
Marmalade Game Studio and Asmodee Entertainment have just released a thrilling new expansion for Ticket to Ride, bringing the Golden City to the train sim. In the latest update, you will travel to San Francisco, where new characters, trains and other content await you. And besides a new city, the clock has also been dialled back to the Swinging Sixties, bringing some nostalgic charm to each round.
Ticket to Ride’s San Francisco map isn’t as vast as the others, making it the perfect option for anyone looking for a shorter round. But the new points mechanic keeps things engaging. As you work to build routes across this condensed cityscape, keep an eye out for Souvenir Tokens. These collectibles are scattered around the map and offer valuable points which will increase your total at the end of the round.
Additionally, the San Francisco expansion also adds a new Rematch feature. This mechanic will be available across all expansions and will let you jump into another round with the same players right from the endgame screen. Simply hit Rematch, and everyone who opts in will stay in the same lobby, streamlining the setup process for another match.
With that come two new characters and themed vehicles inspired by the 1960s. You can ride through the city in the Bay Bug with fashion designer Summer Ashbury or hop into a sleek Gazelle alongside movie star Felix Woods. And if you’re in the mood for the classic cable cars, the Municipal Wings, Golden Ribbon, and Hillside Heritage cars are ready for you.
