The campaign to Make Rangers Great Again has gone to the next level in the wake of potential US investment.
Reports have suggested that Rangers are in ‘advanced’ discussions with the US consortium which backs NFL club the San Francisco 49ers over a potential takeover.
Should a takeover be complete there are several factors at play, with the same group holding a majority shareholding at Premier League hopefuls Leeds United.
There are also murmurs of Red Bull keeping tabs on the situation as the Rangers boardroom braces for a monumental reshuffle.
But whilst Rangers and the San Francisco 49ers cross the t’s and dot the i’s, a burgeoning campaign has begun snowballing as fans dream of Making Rangers Great Again.

Ibrox wants to Make Rangers Great Again
Rangers fans who attended the Europa League clash against Tottenham Hotspur will remember the Union Bears unfurling a banner with the slogan Make Rangers Great Again.
The MRGA movement is a play on the famous Make America Great Again MAGA movement which has swept across the USA and led to Donald Trump winning the presidency.
The US business tycoon has shot to power off the promise of restoring the USA to former glories and it’s a message which has resonated with the Rangers support.
But it’s not just in the stands or on the pitch that Rangers fans are appealing to Make Rangers Great Again either.
Rangers trio spotted with MRGA hat
With Donald Trump’s MAGA movement made famous by that distinctive red cap, Rangers fans can now get their hands on a similar Ibrox version.
In recent weeks the Make Rangers Great Again cap has begun popping up all over social media and has even found its way into the hands of some high-profile people.
Former Rangers stars Kris Boyd and Ian Durrant were snapped with the cap earlier in February, long before news of the 49ers interest broke.
Rangers legend Ally McCoist was also gifted one of the caps and donned it whilst preparing to go live on TalkSPORT radio.
Should the San Francisco 49ers takeover of Rangers go as planned, something tells us you might be seeing more of these Make Rangers Great Again caps around town.
