Several members of the San Francisco 49ers enjoyed a night out in Las Vegas to see Dead & Company live at The Sphere and got to meet legendary musician Bob Weir during their time in Sin City.

Dead & Company is made up of former members of rock band Grateful Dead, covering the retired group’s old songs during their current Las Vegas residency.

The 49ers in attendance included Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, Jake Tonges, and Kyle Juszczyk.

Bob Weir is on vocals and guitar for Dead & Company and was pictured with McCaffrey after the concert ended for a photo barefoot.

McCaffrey shared several photos from he and his teammates time at the concert on his Instagram on Monday.

First is the teammates on the floor of The Sphere listening to Weir on stage shredding his guitar. There is also a wide shot of the venue’s changing projections on the screens around the inside venue.

There is also multiple group shots of the NFL squad, including one looking up at a projection of the night sky and another of a selfie taken by Kittle.

Another projection in McCaffrey’s only uploaded video shows a tribute to famed Las Vegas hotel Circus Circus on the screens.

The 49ers attended the fourth-to-last concert as part of Dead & Company’s residency, with the last show being on Saturday.

It was a bit of a homecoming for some of the 49ers, who may have last been in Las Vegas for the 2024 Super Bowl, falling to the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime.

The 49ers has a disappointing response to a conference-championship season, finishing the year 6-11 and missing the playoffs.

The team is expected to do better this fall with keeping most of its integral players outside of Deebo Samuel, who was traded to the Washington Commanders.
