The 2024 San Francisco 49ers season was a major disappointment, ending with a 6–11 record and a last-place finish in the NFC West, despite entering the year as the defending NFC champions. That marked their first losing season since 2020 and the worst post–Super Bowl season by any team since the 2003 Raiders.
The season was derailed by several injuries to key players, including Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, and Trent Williams, forcing several rookies into starting roles.
Looking forward to the 2025 season, the Niners are ready to bounce back with Brock Purdy under center, and that will start with training camp.
