NFL Overreactions Week 4
Mackenzie Salmon breaks down some of the biggest games from NFL week 4.
Sports Seriously
The San Francisco 49ers (2-2) have had success at home this season, and the next chance to keep it going will be Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals (1-3).
The Cardinals are the latest team to find out how sensational Jayden Daniels is when Washington came in and torched Arizona in its own stadium. The offense that exploded in Week 2 has struggled since, and it will have to try to and reignite the spark against a tough defense.
Coming off back-to-back head-scratching losses, the 49ers regrouped by destroying the New England Patriots in a much-needed victory. Luckily, the reigning division champions have another chance to assert dominance and get on the path back to the top.

Lorenzo Reyes: 49ers 30, Cardinals 10
This is an interesting spot because the Cardinals, under Jonathan Gannon, have actually gotten up for games against some of the best teams in the league, pulling off upsets. Still, the Niners beat Arizona last year by an average of 17.5 points per game. San Francisco’s defense remains a concern, but the Cardinals are too inconsistent and nowhere near as deep.
Tyler Dragon: 49ers 26, Cardinals 20
San Francisco got back on track in Week 4. Brock Purdy is second in the NFL in passing yards and Jordan Mason is second in the league in rushing yards. Fred Warner’s ankle injury is a concern. The 49ers have won four straight games versus Arizona.
Jordan Mendoza: 49ers 34, Cardinals 15
San Francisco needed to flex its muscle against the Patriots, and it needs to do the same to the Cardinals. Arizona has lost to the 49ers by an average of 22 points in the last four meetings.
