SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The Cal Poly Athletics Department announced the addition of former Stanford Athletics Development Associate Ariana Avila as the Director of Development this week to help in the fundraising efforts for the department.
Avila, a former soccer student-athlete at Fresno Pacific University, comes to Cal Poly after spending the last 15 months as a Development Associate for Stanford Athletics where she led all logistics for the Buck/Cardinal Club and helped in the processing and tracking of gifts given to the athletic department.
Prior to that, she was a Social Media Specialist for the University of San Francisco Sport Management Program while she was working on earning her master’s degree in Sport Management.
Her other experiences include being a Development Coordinator at UCLA, Premium Concierge for the Los Angeles Galaxy, and was a Social Media & Marketing intern for the Orange County Soccer Club.
Avila earned her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and a minor in coaching from Fresno Pacific where she played on the women’s soccer team there for four years, appearing in 50 career games as a defender.
