The San Francisco 49ers are battling through a lot of injury attrition as they try to avoid a Super Bowl hangover. From running back Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) not playing a game yet to losing wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (knee) in Week 7, the 49ers have fallen from NFC champions to third place in the NFC West.
With the NFL trade deadline looming in less than two weeks on Tuesday, Nov. 5, the 49ers should be interested in looking for roster reinforcements from other teams.
Here are some reasonable targets for them to land depth and supplemental production.

49ers best trade deadline targets
Za’Darius Smith, DE, Browns
Nick Bosa needs more help than just well-traveled Leonard Floyd in the complementary pass rush. Smith would make an easy transition from Jim Schwartz’s 4-3 front to be effective with all-around, short-term help at 32.
Darius Slayton, WR, Giants
Slayton should be back on the block as a pending 2025 free agent, as the Giants will be fine turning the page to youngsters Malik Nabers, Wan’Dale Robinson, and Jalin Hyatt. He can replace some of the deep-ball element lost after Aiyuk’s season-ending injury.
Azeez Ojulari, DE, Giants
Ojulari can provide an instant pass-rush boost, too, to support Bosa. He’s only 24 and has five sacks in the first half of the season. This would be the big “blockbuster” the 49ers can pull off for an immediate impact up front.

Divine Deablo, OLB, Raiders
The 49ers have weak linebacker play this season next to superstar Fred Warner with the Dre Greenlaw injury. Deablo can help them plenty vs. run and pass, and he can also be a long-term option, as he’s unsigned beyond his rookie contract.
Kendrick Bourne, WR, Patriots
The 49ers know he can be an easy fit for depth in Kyle Shanahan’s offense given his previous production as a valuable utility receiver and end-zone target. The Patriots don’t need the former 49er anymore with Kayshon Boutte, DeMario Douglas, Ja’Lynn Polk, and other youth moving them forward with Drake Maye.
Sebastian Joseph-Day, DT, Titans
The 49ers can reacquire him from the selling Titans, as he was definitely more productive vs. the run with some inside pass rush in San Francisco than Tennessee.
