San Francisco, USA: Minister of State for Education, IT and Electronics, Nara Lokesh, received a grand welcome upon his arrival in San Francisco. The Minister, who is on a mission to attract investments to Andhra Pradesh, was met with enthusiasm by Telugu celebrities, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supporters, and representatives of the IT sector.
The reception underscored the strong connection between Andhra Pradesh and the Silicon Valley. Chandrababu Naidu, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is widely credited with establishing Hyderabad as a leading IT hub in India. His visionary leadership and foresight, evident in his “Vision 2020” plan, transformed the state’s technological landscape. Minister Lokesh, following in his father’s footsteps, is dedicated to continuing this legacy and driving Andhra Pradesh towards prosperity by 2047.
The welcoming committee at the San Francisco airport included a significant number of NRI TDP leaders and activists, eager to support Minister Lokesh’s mission. This visit marks his first trip to America since the Telugu Desam Party’s resounding victory in the recent Andhra Pradesh elections.
Minister Lokesh’s itinerary includes a packed schedule of events, beginning with the 9th IT Service Synergy Conference in Las Vegas on October 29th. He will then travel to Atlanta on October 31st to participate in the unveiling ceremony of a statue commemorating the legendary NTR, organized by the NTR Trust.
The Minister was welcomed by a distinguished group of individuals including NRI TDP USA Coordinator Jayaram Komati, NRI TDP Media Coordinator Sagar Doddapaneni, local TDP leaders Shashi Dodpalapudi, Srikanth Doddapaneni, TDP Zonal In-Charge Ravi Mandalapu, and representatives from the IT Service industry: Vinod Uppu, Satish Manduva, and Suresh Manukonda.
Minister Lokesh aims to strengthen international partnerships, attract significant investments, and promote Andhra Pradesh as a prime destination for technology and innovation. The state’s skilled workforce, robust infrastructure, and supportive government policies provide a strong foundation for technological growth. By leveraging these assets and fostering a conducive environment for innovation, Andhra Pradesh is poised to become a leading player in the global technology landscape.
