San Francisco 49ers edge rusher Nick Bosa crashed his teammates’ post-game interview Sunday to briefly show off his MAGA hat to viewers at home.
The 49ers beat the Dallas Cowboys 30-24 on Sunday Night Football. For their efforts, quarterback Brock Purdy, tight end George Kittle, and running back Isaac Guerendo were all named the players of the game.
As the three players stood next to Sunday Night Football reporter Melissa Stark for their interview, Bosa suddenly ran into frame wearing a white MAGA hat with gold letters. While directly in the middle of the group, he simply pointed to his hat without saying a word and exited the shot as quickly as he entered it.
“Nick Bosa with a message there,” Stark said before resuming the interview.
When Bosa took the podium at the post-game press conference shortly after, he was surprisingly coy about the public gesture.
“I’m not gonna talk too much about it,” Bosa said when a reporter asked him about it, “but I think it’s an important time.”
While he was wearing a hat at the presser, it wasn’t the same one he wore on the field.
Bosa has long been a supporter of the former President Donald Trump. At a UFC event earlier this year, the two were seen having a joyful conversation.
