Brunch is back at Solera, 4205 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday. Choose from Spanish French toast, gambas and polenta, sangria specials and more.
Sullivan’s Steakhouse, 5252 Corporate Blvd., Baton Rouge, is adding new options to the menu, including A5 wagyu strip, lobster thermidor, truffle-shaved ribeye cheesesteak and more.

Oxbow Rum Distillery, 760 St. Philip St., Baton Rouge, won the Best of Class, White Rum title at this year’s San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Oxbow Estate Small-Batch White Rum is unaged, unfiltered and distilled in small batches, crafted from 100% high-grade sugarcane molasses.
The Tasting Alliance organizes the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, which is the largest and longest-running blind evaluation competition in the industry.
Halloween party: Thursday at Soji, 5050 Government St., Baton Rouge
Enjoy a night of spine-tingling fun with music from DJ Gymc, new cocktails and a costume contest. Select cocktails will be $10.

Basics of Buttercream: 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Party Time, 3350 Bluebonnet Blvd., Baton Rouge
Enroll in this three-part class to learn how to assemble and decorate cakes, smooth buttercream and create roses. The last class will end with all students creating a “Bridgerton” themed cake. Vending Machine wine dinner: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at City Pork Jefferson, 7327 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge
The chefs at City Pork will present a five-course wine dinner in collaboration with Vending Machine Wines and Wild Bush. Enjoy a butter board, mussels and frites, short rib and more. Stay tuned for a full menu. Tickets are $125 per person, available for purchase at citypork.com/jefferson-events.
