Ajibola was a highly respected creative force in the entertainment industry, distinguished for his innovative approach to storytelling.

He seamlessly blended traditional and digital art forms, pushing the boundaries of Nigerian cinema.

His expansive expertise encompassed various aspects of filmmaking, including film direction and production, animation and visual effects, virtual worlds, and interactive media.

Ajibola honed his craft through studying filmmaking and cinematography at the prestigious New York Film Academy in Universal Studios, advanced character animation at Animation Mentor in San Francisco, and visual effects training at VFXLearning.

His magnum opus, the 2012 urban musical film “Hoodrush,” garnered widespread recognition and accolades. The film won Best Movie at the 2012 Green Me Film Festival in Germany, Best Actor and Soundtrack at the Nollywood Movies Awards, and Best Supporting Actor at the African Movie Academy Awards.

Dimeji Ajibola’s passing leaves an immense void in the Nigerian movie industry.

His vision, creativity, and contributions will be deeply missed. As the industry mourns his loss, his remarkable body of work continues to inspire and influence a new generation of filmmakers.
