May Peace and Love be with you and may Justice prevail!St. Francis is a Lutheran congregation in the Sierra Pacific Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. We have a rich history that dates back to the founding of the church by Danish immigrants in 1906 and includes decades of activism on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community. All are welcome at St. Francis.Inspired by God’s wide vision, we celebrate and embrace diversity of households, faith expression, race, gender identity and expression, class, culture, age, sexual orientation, ability, and immigration status. We feel called, in particular, to advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. It is our prayer that our community will be a source of grace and hope, and a place of healing for anyone who has been hurt. We commit ourselves to embracing the work of anti-racism, social and economic justice, and environmental care.
