San Francisco is gearing up for its annual Fleet Week in honor of the U.S. armed forces.
From Monday, Oct. 7, through Oct. 14, locals and visitors alike can witness the impressive display of large ships that make their way under the Golden Gate Bridge, marvel at the gravity-defying stunts of the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels and learn all about the branches of the military.
The festivities will then culminate with the Parade of Ships and Fleet Week’s signature air show, scheduled for Oct. 11-13, with aerial feats including parachute jumps, heritage planes and more. Prime Marina Green viewing is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis, though premium ticket options are available for purchase at fleetweeksf.org/tickets.
