NBA All-Star Weekend is coming to San Francisco and the Bay Area this weekend, and the festivities have already begun. In celebration of the upcoming event as well as their 40th anniversary, Jordan Brand put on an impressive light show above the Bay Bridge on Wednesday night.
Jordan-Themed Drone Show At NBA All-Star Weekend
2025 marks the third time that the Bay Area as a whole has hosted the All-Star game in the event’s 68-year history, but the first that will actually be played in the city of San Francisco. The 1967 version was played at the Cow Palace in Daly City, just 6.5 miles south of Chase Center.
It wouldn’t come around again until the year 2000, when All-Star Weekend was held across the bay in Oakland. That provided one of the more memorable iterations of the annual mid-season event, best known for the show that Vince Carter put on in the Dunk Contest during Saturday night’s festivities. Now, with Chase Center established as one of the newer, premiere arenas in the NBA today, San Francisco gets to play host this year.

There will be events all weekend long, and things got “kicked” off on Wednesday night. The Jordan Brand was responsible for 1,200 drones hitting the night sky over the Bay Bridge, which connects the cities of San Francisco and Oakland. The flying objects worked together to create insane images like a rotating shoe, an all red Jumpman logo, as well as a massive number “23” that lit up the northern California sky.
It figures to be just one of the many celebrations had by Jordan Brand during NBA All-Star Weekend. The company turned 40 years old just a couple of months back, having been established all the way back in 1984, and should have their name advertised and making its mark all over the weekend’s events.
Some of the game’s biggest stars are a part of Jordan Brand, including Luka Dončić, Jayson Tatum, and Zion Williamson.
